T. Oddities

Some works do not fit any of the groupings. Two different types are shown here - with T1 and T2 as shown in New Orleans in 1981. There one reviewer noted “Two of the sculptures have an elegant, Art Deco look, incorporate sleek plastic elements in opaque black and white.”

The other examples are acrylic cubes with patterns sketched on the bottom. These were found late in the investigation, but were done before the mid-1960s as early, modest explorations.

These works suggest the artist’s pursuits were not a single straight line from start to finish, but rather a constant challenging of formal assumptions.

"Bundle of Rods" (T6) was noted by a French dealer some years ago as a Florsheim work, although this has yet to be confirmed.
