H. Rods Trough Plane
Many of Florsheim's more well-known pieces featured Plexiglas rods organized in patterns, and supported by a central plane. Featured in many shows in the 1960s and 1970s, for many these are the representative pieces of her work.
The rods are clear; the supporting plane either clear or black. The rods are arranged in a pattern or a grid, usually in rings of squares orcircles.
Depending on the density of the pattern, one might consider these works addressing the issue of resolution. Most of these works are are centrally focused; only a few (H13, H14, H24) are decentralized.
