These large works were made for the show at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art in 1970. moving pieces were installed in these life-sized barriers, a constructed frame, which was complete with integrated lighting.
Smaller portals were also made at the same time and shown at the Main Street Gallery. These typically featured a cube-shape, rotating within a frame.
