J. Rods and Planes - Early
These works feature Plexiglas planes pinned together with clear rods. Two versions were made, using either thin or thick planes. The rods also varied in size with thick rods used with thick planes, and vice-versa. The rods are more noticeable in works with thin planes, as the assembly of the rods is in dialogue with the shape of the planes.
The thicker pieces read as more dense, as the space between the planes is compressed. The thinner pieces are more delicate, and the space in-between the planes is both larger and celebrated. (see group P for Rods and Planes - Late).
